Upset continues at Jamaica Open badminton tournament

The ‘B’ and ‘D’ Division finals of the Jamaica Open badminton tournament will take place this evening at the Chinese Benevolent Association’s headquarters at 176 Old Hope Road in Kingston.



National Junior champion Samuel Ricketts will tackle Gerald Isaac in the men’s singles ‘B’ final.



Ricketts picked up two good victories on his way to the final. He put away Kraig Simpson 31-19; 21-14 and then returned to beat fourth seed Shawn Forrester 21-14, 21-11 to move into the final on day three of the tournament.



The ‘B’ ladies final will feature national junior champion Shanna-Kay Bailey against Haedi Kaye Williams.
