Tivoli maintain lead in DPL

Tivoli Gardens maintain their two-point lead atop the Digicel Premier League points table after securing a 1-0 victory over Humble Lion at the Edward Seaga Complex yesterday.



Christopher Jackson scored the only goal of the match to give his side all three points.



With the win, Tivoli Gardens have moved to 33 points, two ahead of second place Waterhouse, who scored a 1-0 victory over defending champions Harbour View at Drewsland Stadium.



Harbour View remain fifth but are joined on 24 points by Benfica, who scored a 2-1 away victory over Village United at Jarrett Park in Montego Bay.



Portmore United, courtesy of a late goal, turned back last place St George’s 1-0 at Ferdie Neita Park to join Boys’ Town in third place on 27 points.



Boys’ Town were held to a goalless draw by ninth place Reno at Frome in Westmoreland.



In the day’s other game, seventh place Sporting Central whipped eight place Arnett Gardens 3-0 at Brancourt in Clarendon.
