Haiti election results coming

Haiti's electoral authorities are due to announce the preliminary results of last week's troubled presidential and parliamentary elections today.
The vote, which was held amid scenes of confusion at some polling stations, has generated fraud charges and protests.
Correspondents in Port-au-Prince say many Haitians are convinced that President Rene Preval is pulling strings to secure the election of the ruling party’s presidential candidate, Jude Celestin.
One of the leading candidates, Michel Martelly, has announced that he will not recognise the results if they send him to a runoff with Celestin.
The two are believed to be in a three-way fight with former first lady Mirlande Manigat.
