SVL partners with CCAC to sustain cricket

The newly-formed Cricket Club’s Activity Committee (CCAC) received $150,000 from Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) to help stage the Ultimate Cricket Bash and Fun Day on Saturday at the Ultimate Jerk Centre in Discovery Bay, St Ann.
The CCAC is a newly formed 16-member voluntary committee consisting of both popular players and administrators.
It was established to raise funds for local clubs and cricket associations to ensure the revival, sustainability and improvement of club cricket in Jamaica.
As such, the fun day will be used to raise funds and all proceeds will be presented to various cricket clubs and associations in need of support.
The day will feature two 20/20 matches. The first match will feature a St Ann/Ultimate Masters team against a CCAC Masters team, to be led by former West Indies player Jimmy Adams. That match is set to bowl off at 10 a.m.
The second match will feature a St Ann All Stars team against a CCAC All Stars team. The CCAC All Stars team will be led by Tamar Lambert and includes Jerome Taylor, David Bernard Junior, Andrew Richardson and Marlon Samuels.
Xavier Marshall will captain the St Ann All Stars team.
