Jamaica placed 58 in latest FIFA ranking

Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz will end the year at number 58 in the world after climbing 24 places in the latest FIFA rankings released yesterday.
It represents Jamaica’s best ranking in four years. Jamaica benefited from winning the Digicel Caribbean Cup title earlier this month in Martinique.
The Reggae Boyz also end the year as the top team in the Caribbean Football Union ahead of Cuba, which moved 32 places to rank 62nd in the world. Trinidad and Tobago are third in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) and 89th in the world after dropping 11 places.
Meanwhile, World and European champions Spain have ended the year at number one in the FIFA rankings.
Holland, who lost to Spain in the World Cup final, are in second spot, while Germany have leapfrogged Brazil in to third place.
