The Executive Committee of CONCACAF says its will fight for a guaranteed fourth place at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.
CONCACAF’s president Austin ‘Jack’ Warner said the region deserves another full place at the World Cup finals due to the performances of its teams on the field and the actions of its confederation off it.
He said CONCACAF is unified in its efforts to make this happen.
A decision on the subject is expected to be made at a meeting of the FIFA Executive Committee in March.
CONCACAF currently has three-and-a-half spots available at the World Cup.
