Jamaica’s Under-19 cricket squad arrived in Barbados yesterday for the TCL West Indies Championships from July 4 to August 2.

Jamaica will be without West Indies Under-15 representatives John Campbell because of chickenpox and Donovan Nelson because of a hand injury.

All-rounder Andre Creary, who represented West Indies at the International Cricket Council’s Under 19 World Cup in Bangladesh earlier this year, is captain.

The squad also includes wicket-keeper/batsman Horace Miller, another top player from the West Indies Youth World Cup squad.

Jamaica will be defending the limited-overs title in the series that runs from July 29 to August 2, at the conclusion of the three-day championships from July 4 to 26.

Jamaica will open the three-day version against Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday.
