Tivoli beat Boys’ Town
Tivoli Gardens have moved three points clear atop the Digicel Premier League table following yesterday’s round of matches.
The former champions, who entered the day with a two-point lead, carved out a 1-0 away victory over Boys’ Town in their top-of-the-table clash at Collie Smith Drive to increase their advantage.
With the defeat, Boys’ Town slipped to third place.
Kemar Flemmings scored the lone goal in the 12th minute as Tivoli raced to 47 points, three ahead of Portmore United, who moved to second following a 1-0 victory over Benfica at Drax Hall in St Ann.
Rosario Harriott scored for Portmore United in the 15th minute.
Over at Brancourt in Clarendon, the struggling Village United upset fourth place Waterhouse 3-2.
In other games, Reno, courtesy of goals from Craig Foster and Evan Taylor, blanked Humble Lion 2-0 at Sports Frome Complex in Westmoreland, while the game between Sporting Central Academy and last place St Georges ended in a 1-1 draw at Elliston Wakeland Centre in Trelawny.
