Journalists attacked in Egypt
Journalists attempting to cover unprecedented unrest in Egypt have reported being beaten, arrested and harassed by security forces and police.
The Al Jazeera news network has released a statement demanding that three of its journalists, detained by Egyptian security forces, be released.
The network says a fourth has been reported missing.
Meanwhile, The Greek daily newspaper Kathimerini says its reporter and photographer were also injured after being attacked by protesters in Cairo's Tahrir Square.
The Washington Post reported, that its Cairo bureau chief, Leila Fadel, and photographer Linda Davidson were among two journalists arrested this morning by the Egyptian Interior Ministry.
The clashes broke out days ago with protesters demanding that President Hosni Mubarak, who has ruled for 30 years, step down immediately.
