Argentina assistant coach to visit Jamaica today

Assistant coach of Argentina Women’s Hockey team, Professor Guillermo Fonseca arrived in the country earlier today to host a series of coaching programmes.
Apart from conducting coaching programmes, Professor Fonseca will assess the standard of Jamaica’s hockey and put forward action plans to improve the game.
During his first week, which begins on Monday, February 7, Professor Fonseca will work with the coaches at the High School level.
He will conduct a lecture series at the G C Foster College from February 14 to 16 on ‘How to Introduce the Game of Hockey’ and ‘How to Plan for a Season.’
The Professor will also host a Public Lecture entitled ‘The Success of Argentina’s Hockey, A Proven Development Model. The University of Technology will host that forum on Wednesday, February 9, starting at 6.30 p.m.
