Jamaica receives three medals

Jamaica ended the 21st Central American and Caribbean track and field championships in Colombia with three medals to finish sixth in the medal table.
The three-day championship ended yesterday at the Pascual Guerrero Stadium.
Herbert McGregory mined Jamaica’s final medal on yesterday’s closing day.
McGregor, 7.90 metres, was runner-up in the men’s long jump to Cuba’s Wilfredo Martinez, who posted a meet record of 8.31metres. Bermuda’s Tyrone Smith 7.80 metres was third.
Jamaica’s tally includes a gold, a silver and a bronze medal.
Cuba topped the table with 34 medals inclusive of 17 gold, 12 silver and five bronze.
Trinidad and Tobago finished second with 14 medals including eight gold, one silver and five bronze.
