Trinidad & Tobago police sick-out

Police in Trinidad and Tobago are on a sick-out.
As a result security at the residences of senior officials, including Prime MinisterKamla Persad-Bissessar, was hit by the latest round of sickouts.
Local media say soldiers had to be called out to replace absent police officers.
The officers are protesting what they say is a ridiculous 5 per cent pay increase offer.
They are demanding a 40 per cent increase.
