Lawyers in St Lucia have decided to boycott the courts in protest over the physical conditions at the facilities.

The St Lucia Bar Association says in the past it has drawn the attention of the authorities to the problem but its concerns have not been addressed.

Bar Association President Andie George told BBC Caribbean that the association is seeking a meeting with the attorney general to discuss ways to resolve the problem.

He says the protest has the support of the majority of members of the Bar.
