Jamaica beat US Virgin Islands

Jamaica recorded a victory on yesterday’s opening day of the Caribbean Volleyball Championships being contested at the gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Complex in Bridgetown, Barbados.
The Jamaicans beat the United States Virgin Islands 3 sets to one in their Group ‘D’ women’s game.
However, the men’s team suffered 3-1 defeat to Martinique in Group ‘B’. Jamaica had won the opening set 25-23.
In another Group ‘B’ game Trinidad and Tobago defeated United States Virgin Islands 3-0.
Over in Group ‘A’, Netherlands Antilles defeated the Bahamas 3-1.
