World number one Rafael Nadal stretched his unbeaten run on clay to 32 matches yesterday as he beat Gael Monfils to reach the semi-finals of the Barcelona Open.
The Spaniard powered past the seventh seed 6-2, 6-2 and is undefeated on clay since 2009.
His next opponent is Ivan Dodig, who beat Feliciano Lopez 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.
David Ferrer also reached the last four with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Jurgen Melzer. Nicolas Almagro faces Juan Carlos Ferrero in the remaining quarter-final.
