Jamaica went down 2-1 to Puerto Rico last night in its final Group ‘B’ game of the 2008 CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championships at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Trinidad and Tobago.
The tournament will qualify three teams to the inaugural FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand later this year.
However, Jamaica and Puerto Rico will not be among the qualifiers following two defeats going into the final game.
The Jamaicans were beaten 6-0 by Mexico in their opening game last Thursday and 4-3 by Canada on Saturday.
