Sunshine Girls draw first blood

Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls scored a nail-biting 57-56 victory over third ranked England in the opening match of their three-Test Supreme Ventures Sunshine Netball Series at the National Indoor Sports Centre last night.
The Jamaicans got the winner with just a few seconds remaining on the clock with the scores locked at 56-56.
Goalshooter Jhaniele Fowler led the home team with 46 goals from 52 attempts, while goal attack Anna-Kay Griffiths had nine from 17.
For England, goal attack Pamela Cookey scored 31 goals from 36 attempts and Jo Harten had 25 from 33 goals.
The remaining matches will take place tomorrow and Saturday.
