Seven Jamaicans for Shangai Meet

Seven Jamaicans including Asafa Powell and Veronica Campbell-Brown are down to compete at the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix in China tomorrow.
The event is the second stop on the 14-meet International Association of Athletics Federations Diamond League series.
Powell, the former 100-metre world record holder, will compete in the men’s 100 metres along with his countryman Mario Forsythe.
On the women's side, Campbell-Brown, the two time Olympic 200-metre gold medallist has a showdown with reigning Diamond League 100-metre champion, Carmelita Jeter of the U.S. The race also includes Jamaican Sherone Simpson.
The Jamaican pair of Kaliese Spencer and Melaine Walker are listed to compete in the women’s 400-metre hurdles. Spencer is the reigning Diamond League champion at the distance.
The other Jamaican down to compete is Dwight Thomas, who will run in the men’s 110-metre hurdles.
