No case against Integrity Commission head

President George Maxwell Richards says he does not think that a prima facie case has been made for the Integrity Commission chairman, Dr. Eric St Cyr, to step down from office because of remarks he made about Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar.

Works and Transport Minister Jack Warner, is leading the campaign to have St. Cyr removed from office.

Warner, who is also chairman of the United National Congress, had written a letter to President Richards on the matter.

Warner and his colleagues have all condemned the comments made by St Cyr, saying they were inappropriate, reckless and taints any investigations the commission may have before it.
