Afridi quits international cricket

Pakistan recently axed one-day captain Shahid Afridi has announced his ‘conditional’ retirement from the international.
Afridi said he will not play under the current Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The 31-year-old all-rounder said he will return to the game if a different board comes in.
Last year, he retired from Test cricket but continued to lead the team in short-form cricket, before his removal from that role by the PCB on May 19.
His replacement, Misbah-ul-Haq, led the team in a 2-0 One Day International series win in Ireland.
Afridi criticised Pakistan’s team management after the side’s recent one-day series in the West Indies. He had led Pakistan’s 20/20 and one-day international sides since early 2010.
A hard-hitting batsman and leg-spin bowler, Afridi has played in 27 Tests, 325 one-day games and 43 20/20 for his country.
