Veronica Campbell-Brown dominates in Ostrava

Veronica Campbell-Brown ran her race of the season thus far in the women’s 100m race with a personal best of 10.76 seconds, making her the eighth fastest woman of all time.
Bahamas’ Debbie Ferguson was second in 11.09, with Jamaica’s Schillonie Calvert taking third in 11.13.
Meanwhile, Usain Bolt won his second straight 100 metres when he ran 9.91 at the 50th Ostrava Golden Spike today.
He beat countryman Steve Mullings who ran 9.97 for second and Daniel Bailey of Antigua, third in 10.08.
Jamaican Marvin Anderson won the 200m race in 20.27 – beating Yohan Blake (20.38) and Mario Forsythe (20.43 PB), with American Shawn Crawford taking fourth in 20.58.
In the open 400m, Jermaine Gonzales of Jamaica clocked a seasonal best of 45.07 to relegate Bahamas’ Chris Brown to second in 45.17 US althlete Jordan Boase was third in 45.34.
Dwight Thomas of Jamaica came second in the men’s 110m hurdles in 13.24 seconds behind world record holder Dayron Robles of Cuba who won in 13.14 seconds.
