Eight Jamaicans to run at Adidas Grand Prix tomorrow

World and Olympic 100-metre champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is among eight Jamaicans down to compete at the Diamond League Adidas Grand Prix meet in New York City tomorrow.
Fraser-Pryce will compete in the women’s 200 metres where she will face American Carmelita Jeter.
Fraser-Price has her sights on participating in the 200 metres at this summer’s World Championships in Daegu, South Korea. She easily got the better of Olympic 200-metre champion Veronica Campbell-Brown at the distance at the Jamaica International Invitational at the National Stadium in May.
She has a personal-best of 22.15 for the distance.
In the men’s 100 metres, the Jamaican pair of Nickel Ashmeade and Steve Mullings are down to run in the first heat of the men’s 100 metres.
Schillonie Calvert and Samanth Henry will run in the women’s 100 metres.
The other Jamaicans down to run are world championship gold medallist Brigitte Foster-Hylton and Delloreen Ennis London in the women’s 100-metre hurdles.
