Chess Federation to hold national champs

The Jamaica Chess Federation’s fourth Annual General Meeting (AGM) and National Blitz Championship will take place tomorrow at the Norman Manley Law School.



The proceedings will begin at 9:30 in the morning with registration for both events.



The Blitz Championship, which will determine Jamaica’s top seed chess player, will begin at 11 o’clock, followed by the AGM at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.



The main agenda at the AGM will be the election of the 2011-2013 National Executive Council.



Incumbent president Ian Wilkinson is the sole candidate for the post of president.



The Blitz Championship will resume after the AGM, which is scheduled to finish at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
