West Indies need 195 to win first Test

West Indies will need a further 195 runs to beat India in the first Test today when play resumes at 10 a.m. at Sabina Park in Kingston.



Set a victory target of 326, the Caribbean side ended yesterday’s third day on 131 for three with Darren Bravo unbeaten on 30 and Shivnarine Chanderpaul on 24 not out.



Pacer Ishant Sharma has accounted for two of the three wickets to fall. He dismissed Ramnaresh Sarwan for a duck and bowled Lendl Simmons for 27.



Praveen Kumar had Adrian Barath caught by Suresh Raina for 38 to break the opening partnership of 62.



Earlier, skipper Darren Sammy and leg spinner Devendra Bishoo picked up four wickets each to bowl out India for 252 at tea.



Sammy ended with four for 52 and Bishoo claimed four for 65.



Rahul Dravid rescued his Indian teammates from a potentially tricky situation with a century.



Dravid, who was 45 overnight with the score on 91 for three, was last man out for 112, his 32nd Test century.

Scores in the match so far are India 246 and 252, West Indies 173 and 131 for 3.
