Antigua examines economic citizenship programme

The Antigua and Barbuda government says it has established a task force to look into the possibility of an economic citizenship programme for the island.
It said the task force will identify the risks of such a programme and examine the business benefits of economic citizenship.
It will also determine the best strategic options available to support investment and residential tourism for the island.
Some Caribbean countries, notably St. Kitts and Dominica, offer similar programmes allowing foreign nationals a fast track to full citizenship through a government sponsored investment programme.
