Jamaica beat Dom Rep to secure second victory

Jamaica have earned the right to face Honduras in the today’s final of the inaugural Central America and Caribbean 12 and Under Team Tennis Championship in El Salvador.



Jamaica progressed to the final by defeating Cuba 3-nil yesterday.



Roger Lyn handed Jamaica a 1-nil lead against Cuba by defeating Cristian Bentancourt Cruz 4-1, 4-1 in the opening singles. And Dimitri Bird increased the lead with a 4-1, 5-3 win over Denilso Martinez Hernandez.



The Jamaican pair then won the doubles 4-0, 4-5, 7-5 to complete a 3-nil victory.



On their way to the final, Jamaica also defeated Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica
