Pyne suffers second round of defeat in badminton

Jamaica’s Charles Pyne suffered a 21-15, 21-12 defeat to Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia on yesterday’s second day of the 2011 badminton Yonex Canada Open.
Pyne was hoping to progress to the third round after defeating American Nicholas Jinadasa 21-17, 21-17 in the first round Wednesday.
The other Jamaican – Gareth Henry lost 21-15, 21-11 to the tournament’s seventh seed, Yan Kit Chan of Hong Kong in the first round.
