Bahamas beat Jamaica

Hosts Jamaica failed to progress to the quarterfinals of the Eighth Junior Caribbean Volleyball Championships as they were beaten in five sets by the Bahamas on day three at the University of Technology Auditorium.



The Bahamians came from two sets down to win the contest 15-25, 25-27, 25-16, 25-22, 15-10.



But the Bahamas lost their quarterfinal match this morning to Trinidad and Tobago. The Trinidadians won the game 25-20, 25-11, 25-21 to earn a semi-final spot against Curacao tonight at 7 o’clock.



The other semi-final features Guadeloupe against Barbados at 5 o’clock in the afternoon.



Guadeloupe booked their spot this morning following a 25-20, 25-20, 25-22 victory over the US Virgin Islands.
