Golfers depart Sunday for Caribbean Championships in T&T

Jamaica’s national golf team is scheduled to depart on Sunday for Trinidad and Tobago to compete at the 55th annual Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships, which will be held at the Millennium Lakes Golf Club.



Jamaica will compete alongside The Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, O.E.C.S., Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos Islands and the U.S. Virgin Islands.



The Jamaicans will compete for the Hoerman Cup, Ramon Baez Trophy, George-Teale Trophy and the Francis and Steele-Perkins Trophy.



The Hoerman Cup team consists of Wesley Brown, Fabian Campbell, Radcliff Knibbs, Jonathan Newnham and Matthew Smith.



Montego Bay-based Sean Morris and Keith Stein will compete for the Ramon Baez Trophy; while Robert Chin and Gregory Chong make up the senior team, which will compete for the Francis & Steele-Perkins Trophy.



For the George-Teale Trophy, Jodi Barrow, Leiza Blakeley and Michele Gabay will represent Jamaica.



There will be a Super Senior team, which comprises of Dennis Atkinson and Fred Sutherland.
