The head of the Technical Allied Workers Union in Grenada is warning that the industrial dispute involving LIAT workers could worsen.
The president of the union Chester Humphrey is quoted in the Antigua Observer newspaper as saying that workers will intensify their protest action after LIAT reneged on many of the agreements it had with the workers.
He said the situation is far from improving as the airline failed to draw up payment plans for three deadlines before denying that it had agreed to the claims.
The union leader as described the action by the LIAT management as provocative.
Humphrey said senior union officers have also agreed to seek support from regional affiliates and could soon call other associated workers into action.
