Cricket: Jamaica poised to win U-19 title

The final round of the West Indies Cricket Board Under-19 Championship in Guyana bowls off this morning with leaders Jamaica poised to win the title.



Jamaica, who are leading the competition with 31 points, will face defending champions Windward Islands at the Demerara Cricket Club.



The Windward Islands are second-from-the-bottom in the table with 10. 3 points from their three games.



Second placed Trinidad and Tobago on 27.3 points, and Barbados on 23.2 points, are also in the title race.



Barbados battle Guyana at Everest, while Trinidad and Tobago take on bottom placed Leeward Islands at Bourda.



Sunshine for the last two days has boosted hopes of a prompt start to the final round.



Heavy rains, resulting in waterlogged outfields, ruled out any chance of play in the fourth and penultimate round.
