The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) will implement a national grassroots football programme.

The JFF said the main aim of the programme is to give all girls and boys between the ages of 6 and 12, opportunities to learn to play football and develop a love and passion for the sport.

The grassroots programme will be initiated with the staging of a FIFA Grassroots Seminar, beginning on Tuesday at the offices of the JFF.

Two FIFA instructors, Alvin Corneal and Leonard Lake will arrive in the country tomorrow to conduct the seminars.

The seminars will include practical sessions at Sabina Park, culminating in a grassroots festival with over 100 children on Thursday.
