Athletics: Usain Bolt out of Zurich Diamond League meeting

Usain Bolt has pulled out of the Diamond League meeting in Zurich on September 8, which takes place four days after the World Championships in South Korea end.



Organisers of the event in Switzerland say the Jamaican opted to skip the event due to his likely exertions in Daegu.



The meeting in Zurich serves as the first part of the Diamond League finals, with Bolt's compatriot Asafa Powell and American Walter Dix set to headline the 100- metre lineup.



Brussels hosts the second part eight days later - and Bolt is currently expected to make the trip to Belgium for the 200 metres.
