Cricket: England complete whitewash over India

England completed a series whitewash over India when they won the fourth Test by an innings and eight runs on today’s final day at The Oval in England.



India, following on in their second innings, collapsed to 283 after resuming this morning on 129 for three.



Graeme Swann was the most successful bowler for England with six for 106.



Sachin Tendulkar ended as the top batsman for India with 94. He was dismissed nine runs short of a landmark 100th international century.



Tendulkar added 144 for the fourth wicket with nightwatchman Amit Mishra, who compiled a Test best 84 before he was bowled by Graeme Swann.
