Commanding Chief to win again
The classy unbeaten three-year-old gelding, Commanding chief goes for his fifth win at Caymanas Park today when he takes on nine opponents in the three-year-old and up open allowance race over 1500 metres.
He was awesome in victory when making his open allowance debut on August 13, when slamming rivals, including the Derby winner Technomoto the Nigel B. Nunes Memorial Cup over 1820 metres.
The Everald Francis-trained chestnut gelding reverts to a shorter disance and should still prove too good for rivals. Jockey Paul Francis gets the ride again.
American-bred Cassanova Boy from the camp of champion trainer Wayne DaCosta is the main threat to Commanding chief. Cassanova Boy has been edging back to form and it is not beyond him to topple this field.
Double The Honey and Raise A Ruckus with champion jockey Omar Walker should ensure keep competition.
There are eight other races on the card and post time is 1.15 p.m.
