Mixed results for Jamaica at Commonwealth Games

Chadrick DaCosta will go in search of Jamaica’s first medal at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games in Isle of Man today.



DaCosta will contest the boys’ discus throw final, which is scheduled to start at 10:05 this morning Jamaica time.



Later in the day, Jamaica’s quarter-miler Asaine Hall will contest the women’s 400-metre final. Other Jamaicans in action on today’s second day of action are Kedisha Dallas and Shantea Green in the heats of the women’s 200 metres.



Meanwhile, it was a bad day for Jamaica in the badminton competition. Mikaylia Haldane and Gerald Isaac were knocked out of the singles and mixed double competitions.
