USA beat Jamaica

In the women’s basketball competition at the Pan American Games, Jamaica finished eighth and last after suffering their fourth straight defeat yesterday.
Jamaica were beaten 87-41 by 2007 champions the United States in the playoff for seventh place.
The Americans led 24-11 at the end of the first quarter, 52-17 at half-time and 71-32 after three quarters.
Jamaica had also lost 83-26 to Colombia, 116-34 to Brazil and 96-29 to Colombia.
