Cricket: Bravo hit maiden century as WI dominate Bangladesh

Darren Bravo has hit his first international century as the West Indies tightens their grip over host Bangladesh in the second and final Test in Mirpur.



After claiming the three remaining Bangladesh wickets in just over an hour to earn a 124-run first innings lead, West Indies finished Day 3 on 207 for three.



West Indies now lead by 331 runs, with Bravo 100 not out and nightwatchman Kemar Roach undefeated on four.



Bravo sparkled in a 151-run third wicket stand with first innings centurion Kirk Edwards, who scored 86.



The other West Indies batsmen back in the pavilion are opener Kraigg Brathwaite without scoring and Kieran Powell for 12.



Earlier, Bangladesh resuming on 204 for seven wickets, could add only 27 runs in 17 overs before being dismissed for a first innings total of 231.



Leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo claimed two of the last three Bangladesh wickets, finishing with three wickets for 62 runs from 23 overs.



Fidel Edwards, who took the first five Bangladesh wickets yesterday, only bowled one over today. He finished with figures of five for 63 from 13 overs.



Scores going into the fourth day are: West Indies 355 and 207 for three, Bangladesh 231.



Play begins at 10:30 tonight Jamaica time.



The two-Test series is level nil-all, after the badly weather affected first Test ended in a draw at the Chowdhury Stadium.
