Brigitte Foster-Hylton has hinted that she had run her last race in national colours after finishing sixth in the women’s 100-metre hurdles final yesterday at the Beijing Olympics.

The 33 year old Foster Hylton revealed in a post-race interview that she had competed for the last time at the Olympics.

Foster Hylton further said she is unsure about next year’s World Championships.

Her Jamaican teammate Delloreen Ennis London, who was in tears shortly after leaving the track, said she is not ready to quit.

Ennis London finished a close fifth in 12.65, while Foster Hylton clocked 12.66.

The 33 year old Ennis-London says she will compete for another year before making a decision.

Dawn Harper of the USA won gold in a personal-best 12 point 5-4 seconds.

The silver medal went to Australia’s national record holder Sally McLellan, who finished in 12 point 6-4.

Canada’s Priscilla Lopes-Schliep also ran 12 point 6-4, but walks away with bronze after a photo finish.
