Former head of the International Monetary Fund Dominique Strauss-Kahn is planning to take legal action over the alleged invasion of his privacy.

French newspapers have carried reports about alleged links between Strauss-Kahn and a prostitution ring in the northern city of Lille.

There has also been speculation in several newspapers about the state of his marriage to wife Anne Sinclair.

Strauss-Kahn was accused of attempting to rape two women but those charges have been dropped.

He resigned from his job as head of the IMF following the accusation.
