JC beat KC to advance to Manning Cup semi-final

Reigning champions Jamaica College recorded a 3-1 victory over Kingston College today to secure the last semi-final spot in the 2011 ISSA/ Gatorade/Digicel Manning Cup competition.
The Group K game was played at the Constant Spring Field. It was the first defeat for Kingston College in 13 games this season.
Ray Mannings led Jamaica College with goals in the 45th and 86th minutes after Junior Flemmings had given his school a 39th minute lead.
Jason Greeland scored the lone goal for Kingston College in the 63rd minute.
Both teams ended with 10 players each. Flemmings, who scored Jamaica College’s opening goal and Jamie Hyde received straight red cards in the second half.
As a result of the victory, Jamaica College will meet Charlie Smith in the semi-finals on Saturday.
The other semi-final game features St George’s College against Wolmer’s Boys.
In the other Group K game at the venue, Excelsior ended their campaign with a 2-nil victory over Spanish Town.
