Jamaican trio advance to finals

Jamaica’s three women’s 200-metre runners have advanced to tomorrow’s medal round of the event.



The Olympic Champions Veronica Campbell Brown advanced after winning the first semi-final of the 200 metres this morning. Campbell won in 22.19 ahead of compatriot Kerron Stewart, who clocked 22.29. Muna Lee of the US was third, also in 22.29.



The other Jamaican, Sherone Simpson clocked 22.50, advanced after a third place in the second semi-final. Allyson Felix of the US in 22.33 won the event.
