St. George's edge Wolmer's to make Manning Cup final
St. George’s College became the first team to qualify for the 2011 ISSA/Gatorade/Digicel Manning Cup final after defeating Wolmer’s Boys 1-0 in their semi-final showdown today.
The game was played at the Constant Spring field.
Kendon Anderson scored the lone goal of the match in the 14th minute.
St George’s College now await defending champions Jamaica College or Charlie Smith in next Saturday’s final.
Jamaica College and Charlie Smith face off in the second semi-final tomorrow afternoon. That game will also take place at the Constant Spring field, beginning at 2:45.
St George’s College are trying to win the urban area double this season. They have already booked a place in the Walker Cup Knockout final against North Street rivals Kingston College.
