Stephen Lawrence killers to appeal
The two men convicted for the death of Stephen Lawrence are to file an appeal against their conviction and sentence.
David Norris and Gary Dobson were sentenced in a London court to life in prison earlier this month.
They were charged for what has been described as the racist murder of the teenager in south-east London in 1993.
Lawrence’s father is Jamaican.
The attorney representing Norris says his appeal will be on the basis that the use of a surveillance video in evidence was unfair.
The Court of Appeal has reportedly received papers from Dobson's lawyers, setting out his intention to appeal.
Dobson was ordered to serve a minimum of 15 years and two months, and David Norris 14 years and three months.
Meanwhile, the Britain’s Attorney General is reviewing the minimum terms given to the pair following a request from a member of the public.
The attorney general is due to respond in the next few days.
