An autopsy is expected to be performed today on the body of a 19-year-old man, who was found dead in Central Trinidad.
Police say the body of Vinood Harrilal was found by a relative tied with a rope to a coconut tree and a cow.
They said there were marks of violence around the teenager’s neck and wrists.
Investigators said they also found pieces of shoe laces, as well as the nylon from a weedwacker, which was believed to have been used around his neck.
A knife was also found nearby.
More than 60 people have reportedly been murdered in Trinidad and Tobago since January.
