Commonwealth finance ministers are expected to discuss the implications of rising food and fuel prices on their economies when they meet in St. Lucia next month.
The meeting scheduled for October 6 to 8 will bring together ministers, senior finance officials and delegates from the 53 member countries.
The meeting traditionally takes place just before the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
The ministers will also discuss the ongoing Commonwealth call for the reform of international institutions, such as the World Bank and the IMF.
They will also follow up on the 2007 discussions on the economic implications of climate change, especially its impact on small states.
