The world\'s largest trade union body is urging the Barbados government to do more to protect the country’s workforce.
The Brussels-based International Trade Union Confederation said the legislation in place does not provide adequate protection to workers\' representatives.
It notes that the plight of migrant workers requires more attention from the government in Bridgetown.
The trade union also shared it had reliable evidence of discrimination against foreign workers particularly in the garment and construction sectors.
