The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) will carry out an inspection of the National Stadium this afternoon at 3.30 p.m. to determine the state of readiness for the crucial World Cup qualifier against Mexico on Saturday, October 11.

Leading the inspection will be Major Desmond Brown of Independence Park Limited, the company that manages the National Stadium.

The National Stadium was ordered closed in early September to carry out repairs following the passage of Tropical Storm Gustav.

As a result of the closure, the first leg of the Jamaica, Mexico World Cup semi-final qualifier was switched to Mexico City on September 6.

Jamaica will now host the second leg on October 11.

The Reggae Boyz need to beat Mexico, Honduras and Canada at home to stand a chance of qualifying for the final round of qualifiers.
