Sprinter Marvin Anderson and quarter-miler Ricardo Chambers will leave their base in the United States to train in Jamaica.
The athletes confirmed their decisions after arriving in the country last night for the weeklong Homecoming celebration.
Anderson, who pulled up injured in the 200-metre quarterfinal at the Beijing Olympics with a hamstring injury, did not disclose which local club he will be heading to.
However, there are reports that he is having talks with Bert Cameron and Glen Mills’ Racers Track Club, the home of triple Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt.
Chambers, a former Florida State University student, who failed to make the final at the Beijing Olympics, said he would join Glen Mills’ Racers Track Club.
