At least 30 women in South Sudan have reportedly been arrested for wearing tight pants.
Officials said the women were arrested in the country’s capital, Juba after an order was issued prohibiting what has been described as bad behaviour and the adaptation of illicit cultures.
Gender Minister Mary Kinden Kimbo said the police exceeded their authority and violated the women\'s human rights.
Some of the women were reportedly beaten after they were arrested outside a church.
All the women have since been freed and the government of the semi-autonomous region has since launched an investigation.
